Anime Lists

During the summer of 2017 I made a short series of posts for the lapsed and new anime fan alike. This was in order to show that there was plenty of anime outside the otaku and fan pandering genres worth seeing from the 1970s to the 2010s.

I also found that this generation's obsession with revisionism meant many great series and movies would fall through the cracks. This series had a such a good response that I'm putting it in a tab here for easy access.

Without further ado, here is the complete list of 100 Accessible Anime.

Part 1 (#1 to #25)
Part 2 (#26 to #50)
Part 3 (#51 to #75)
Part 4 (#76 to #100)

  2. Nice! I might have to look at some of those. I watched the first season of Star Blazers and it was pretty fun. I would describe it as a little cheesy but occasionally shot through with genius. It stunned me by having someone criticize modern art as hideous, while destroying said modern art. And it managed to pull off that staple of cartoons, dropping someone annoying through the floor, in a way that was simultaneously hilarious and frightening.

The theme tune is pretty awesome too. You'd probably enjoy this a lot: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=me4oK8S2QjE
