Signal Boost ~ "The Second Sojourn (The Swordbringer Book 2)" by Alexander Hellene

Find it Here!

Short update: my keyboard is on its last legs so I'm going to keep this quick. Here's hoping it comes in soon because even this short post is difficult to write. I don't know were this issue suddenly came from!

So until that gets fixed, take a gander at this long awaited sequel to author Alexander Hellene's The Last Ancestor!

The description:

Terror strikes the heart of Pysh!

The Global Union has tracked the Canaanites across the galaxy, hellbent on finishing the job of extermination. But first they need to recover a secret, one that will explain everything.

A distress signal from the East brings Garrett, Ghryxa, and their friends closer to the answers about what happened on Earth. The lost ship survives! But to find it they must cross the Waran Steppes, and an endless swamp filled with ancient, deadly creatures.

Pursued by assassins, Garrett must make the hard choices and be a hero like his late father. Escaping the High Lord was just the beginning.

Once again, you can check it out here!

The next post is going to have to wait until my keyboard comes in, so I'll see you then. Have a good weekend!

  1. I should read that at some point, having read the first one. I must admit my first thought was "doesn't even evil have a budget?!" upon hearing the teaser, but upon further consideration it seems reasonable that the evil world government would never be at peace knowing that somewhere, some people might be free to practice their religion peacefully. The real question would be how long before the global government/caliphate formed a circular firing squad as Leftists always do and started killing each other/self-destructing. (See: French, Russian, Chinese, and countless other revolutions)

On a side note, while the covers are definitely interesting and eye-catching and the art is high-quality, they commit several classic cover art sins--the scene shown on the first book was a mishmash of several scenes in the story that never happened as shown, so the cover art on the second is probably the same, plus the princess's outfit (and likely anatomical details) are a bit suspect. No hard feelings toward the author. Just a bone to pick with cover art and anthropomorphic creature art.
