Yes, this is a weird time capsule, isn't it? Released during a very odd time in modern history, Storming Area 51 is an anthology about a bizarre meme moment that led to even more bizarre reactions in the wider culture. Some of which is still happening right now.
Suffice to say, no one in the mid-1990s would have expected anything quite like this happening. It was a much different time. Nonetheless, it proved fertile ground for writers.
Bayonet Books put out two other anthologies aside from this one, based on potential First Contact with aliens and the post-apocalypse, but for this entry they decided to pick a less common and more relevant inspiration. For this volume they picked a story ripped from the headlines that was about as insane as could be expected for the 21st century. That would be the storming Area 51 meme. Here are 35 stories that are as out there as the modern age can get.
So what does this entail? Here is the description:
Thirty-five awesome stories - one kick ass meme that started it all.
It started as a joke. Storm Area 51 they said. They can't stop all of us they said. But all laughter stopped when the U.S. Air Force mobilized the reserves and pulled out the big guns.
However, relentless mockery and derision by the media and the powers that be pushed the weebs and alien enthusiasts too far. What else were they supposed to do? They put on their big girl panties and showed up, determined to find out exactly what secrets were hidden behind the walls of the clandestine government facility.
Are you brave enough to buy this anthology today? If you are find out what the government wants to keep hidden.

The 21st century has been a very off-kilter and disorienting experience so far, especially for those of us who lived through the 20th. It's a place where the weirdness above can hardly be thought to be weird anymore, not when reality has taken the twists it has. Who really know what tomorrow holds when the above can exist today? Even this might be considered quaint in a few years!
However, that also means just about anything can happen at any moment. So keep your eyes peeled. You never know what you're going to find next.
Area 51 is just the beginning!
