Let's talk about something bizarre today. How about an entire anthology of stories about chickens? No, I'm not pranking you, this is an actually collection of stories that really exists.
A bit of background, from the editor:
"This collection of stories is a demonstration of how a crazy but wonderful idea can go from first mention to a call for stories in mere hours. I had a great animal story already written and ready to go, it having been cut from another anthology in the final selection round. The problem? My story had cats instead of chickens. With a quick edit pass to change to chicken names and behaviors, and tie the birds into to the story a little more tightly, I had a submission turned in after a couple of hours. My story, Stray Thoughts, is about bonding in a post-apocalyptic world. And chickens."
